Control Mac commands with iPad keyboard and trackpad during screen extend

I would like to be able to extend display to my iPad Pro m4 and utilize the trackpad and keyboard to fully control my Mac. It makes no sense to extend display to my iPad, then to try to use CMD + Space or CMD C/V and it does commands at the iPad level..... I am controlling the mac at that point. If I want to get back to using the iPad I could then swipe out of the app.

Imagine, I want to open my iPad, have it connect to my Mac Mini, or Macbook wirelessly, put the iPad on the desk right where a keyboard would be, then use it as both an extended display and a keyboard and track pad. How convenient. it would be such a clean setup and would be so useful to be able to utilize all of the equipment that i own.

Also, there could be an option to disable this, to retain iPad key commands to iPad only, or allow iPad keyboard to control the Mac's commands.
