Apple Music stops playing iOS 26.1

Hello!

About a week ago Apple Music decided that it would be fun to just randomly stop playing my music when listening via headphones or CarPlay. As of yet it doesn’t affect listening from iMac or the web player.

I’ve tried airplane mode, tested with downloaded vs streaming, music I uploaded from CDs ages ago vs music I purchased on iTunes vs music that I’ve only added to my library. My WiFi signal is strong and I have 5 bars on cellular.

Currently on iOS 26.1, with iPhone 17 Pro.

(It also doesn’t matter what type of headphones, I’ve tried beats, AirPods, and even used the little usb-c converter thingy for wired headphones. Nada.)

I have officially run out of troubleshooting and I beg the help of smarter people.
