Iphone 6 with 16 gb of space with 15 gb used all of which is the system and the ios combined is there a solution?

My iphone 6 only has 16 gb of space in which 15 of it is used up. I have deleted everything including some apps that came with this phone i can sync it to reduce it to 14.7 gb but thats all it will free up the system and the ios take up majority of space on this phone my question is how do i get more space or should i just throw this phone in the trash. Currently im running 15.8.4 and i cant update the version because there isn’t enough space on this phone why even make a phone with the lowest possible space it leaves no room to do anything with is there a way to offload data from the system or the ios or is this all a waste of time

iPhone 6s, iOS 15

With such a little spare space you can neither backup nor update. As a recent 6S user, I can say the only option available now is to sync as much as you can (photos, contacts, passwords, Notes, etc) with iCloud (pay for 50 GB, $1 a month).

After a day or two, so that everything is in iCloud, wipe the phone and set up as new.

Settings, general, transfer or reset iphone, erase all content and settings.

Then on setup, the photos etc will repopulate

If you want my personal advice, an iPhone with 16 GB of memory is now very limited.

If I remember correctly, the iPhone 6 should have iOS 12, which is a rather old version.

I recommend you consider a slightly newer iPhone, so you have more memory and more updates, because sometimes it can be difficult to get support for particularly old versions (not impossible).
