Series 7 Apple Watch ECG problems

i have a series 7 Apple Watch. I am trying to do an ecg reading. I’m having problems with the reading wanting to work. It begins counting down and then stops and goes back to 30s. I’ve been messing with it for over 20 minutes at this point and I’m ready to crash out. It tells me to keep my finger on the crown which I am, it tells me to make sure my watch is snug- if it was any snugger it would be cutting off circulation, and it also tells me to hold my hands still… if I were to hold them any stiller I’d be holding my breath which is not optimal at all. I’ve restarted the watch, cleaned the censor, and wet my finger and tried every little thing I could find within other discussions here on this website besides toggling assistive touch on and off or doing a whole system reset of the watch, and none of it works. Maybe someone can give me some advice.
