How to get a larger iPhone keyboard

I need a larger keyboard on the iPhone not because I can’t see it, but because it’s difficult for me to type on it without making mistakes. I don’t need the whole phone zoomed in, and I don’t need larger text. I just want the keypad to take up more space on the screen so the keys are not so close together, or at least make the keys larger so it’s easier to hit only the correct one. Making the text larger while keeping the real estate the same on the keypad does nothing.

iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 26

There's no option for larger keys or more separation between keys to make it easier to type built in to the iPhone.

On many apps you should be able to rotate the iPhone to landscape and keyboard will be wider and they keys a bit farther apart.

Outside of that, you may be able to find a third party keyboard that does what you want in the App Store.

For example: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/mega-key/id6667094938

You can also offer Apple feedback and if enough people do, they may choose to add the option in a future update.

I’ve learned that. I’ve tried several third party keyboards and it seems that Apple limits the amount of space they can use for a keyboard. So what you get is larger letters and slightly larger keys that are actually mushed together more than the original one. I found one that was very large, but like the one you provided, it was in an alphabetical format which makes no sense to me. Maybe Apple will open it up someday and let others make a keyboard that works for people like me, but I’m not holding my breath.
