JPG's not displaying correctly in Finder.

For some years now, device and version irrespective, users have been complaining in this community in now closed threads about some jpg's and png's not showing up correctly in Finder. None of the suggested solutions that I found worked for me. The only consistent workaround that I have found is to reduce the file size when saving a jpg file, when the option appears in Photoshop. It seems to be an issue with files which have undergone significant processing, so increasing the file size. Why Apple have not done anything about it is beyond me. Surely if a file is too large to display properly, the system should provide a warning or the limit should be removed.

As Yer_Man said, you can report this to Apple feedback.

We are users like you, volunteering our time to help one another.

I have to say that this is the first time I've read about this issue.

I assume that by "Finder" you actually may mean "Quicklook", that is when you press space to view a file without opening another application. An example of how a file is displayed incorrectly might be useful, if nothing else, to help us better understand what the problem is.

It might also be useful if you can post links to some of these closed threads, and even better if you could post a link to one example file that exhibits this problem. This way some of us could test on our macs and see if we can reproduce it.

Do you have any specific files that are causing problems?

It's really not productive to ask about problems that other people have asked about. This is a big, open forum. It's not uncommon to get posts saying something like "I can't post anything on the forums". OK. Then how did you post that? Or, "I can't create screenshots. Here's a screenshot of the issue."
