I was able to execute the following Terminal command and get SeaMonkey working on Sequoia:
codesign --deep --sign - /Applications/SeaMonkey.app
And the refusal to run the newer 2.53.19 version required using System Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Allow SeaMonkey to run (or some words like that).

have you checked if they have a newer version that support your operating system version?
Thanks, Bob. I'll look into your workaround. Although I used command lines for years many decades ago (when running DOS), I shy away from them, and thus Terminal, these days - got too used to using a graphical interface. Same with html - first used Netscape's "Builder" (or whatever it was called back in the last century), then SeaMonkey for years until it would not work on my Mac (for the last several versions). Then a few weeks ago my domain provider took away the WYSIWYG editor they had and made me struggle with html again ...
So today I tried SeaMonkey 2.53.22 again after allowing it disk access through System Settings - Privacy & Security - and still got this: "Apple could not verify “SeaMonkey.app” is free of malware that may harm your Mac or compromise your privacy." I guess I'll try Terminal next.
Thanks again
Thanks, Rudegar. Yes, I have the latest version.
