Phone 17 wallpaper float up and to the right when 'extend wallpaper' is unclicked

how do i get the wallpaper on my new iphone 17 to act like my old iphone? this one floats up & to the right when i unclick the "extend wallpaper" feature?

Original Title: iphone 17 wallpaper photo will not center correctly even when the photo IS centered. it floats up & to the right when the "extend wallpaper" is unclicked. WHY does apple keep CREATING problems that weren't there prior??
