My new Apple ID password not working on Mac but works on iPad and iPhone?

My new pasword for apple account on my mac doesn't work - identity can not be verified - it is working on my iPad and iPhone but not on my Mac (Mac OS Tahou 26,1)

Is the Mac connected to the Internet?

Have you tried restarting the computer so it takes a fresh look at configurations?

Helpdesk Apple solved the problem by restart under a test account and restart under the existing account. Thanks for the reply.
