How to fix 'disabled please connect iTunes' on an old iPad?

If it is showing a message, then it does turn on.

The message indicates it's in recovery mode due to an issue starting up.

You need to do what it says, and connect it t a computer with iTunes or a Mac with Finder and follow the prompts on the computer.

You don't need apple devices. You can connect it to a Windows Pc with iTunes.

You can borrow a computer from a friend or relative for a few minutes to do this.

Or take it to a nearby Apple Store and ask to use one of their floor Macs for this.

You can borrow one or take it to the Apple Store and use one of theirs. It does not even need to be a Mac computer and you can use a Windows PC.
