Block Caller” option missing in iOS 26.1 on iPhone SE 3rd generation

.

Hello,

Since updating my iPhone SE (3rd generation) to iOS 26.1, the “Block Caller” option no longer appears when tapping the info button in the recent calls list, nor under Settings → Phone → Blocked Contacts.

I have tried the following:

  • Creating a contact with the number and checking if the block option appears → it doesn’t.

  • Restarting the iPhone.

  • Verifying that no restrictions or management profiles are active.

  • Changing the language/region settings.

The issue persists with both saved contacts and unknown numbers. Before updating to iOS 26, this feature worked correctly.

It’s worth noting that iOS 26 introduces a new “Call Screening” system for unknown callers, but the classic “Block Caller” option should still work — in my case, it does not appear anywhere. Additionally, several users in Europe/UE have reported similar issues, although Apple has not yet published any official support notes regarding this.

I request that Apple review and fix this issue, as it prevents normal blocking of unwanted calls.

Device details:

  • iOS 26.1

  • iPhone SE (3rd generation)

Thank you in advance for your attention.

Just tested this on my iphone 13 on ios 26.1 -

phone app - calls - slightly swipe left on the phone number you see 3 icons - a orange circle w/hand, a blue icon with timer and red icon with trash.

If you click on the orange icon it gives you the option to block or block and report as spam.

Settings - apps - phone - scroll all the way down - block contact - click add blocked contacts.

I also have Screen unknown callers table open.
