New first time watch owner: two issues

I’m a new watch owner. First time. Third generation SE. No problems for several days. Now two issues, one of which has resolved itself, but I would like to know what was going on. Immediately before these issues showed up I turned off “always on.” Also I just updated the OS:

1) The watch keeps asking me to sign in with the four digit security code. Like every few seconds.

2) A green light on the back of the watch was flashing. Then stopped flashing but stayed on. As I started composing this note the light turned off.

Did you make sure, that Wrist Detection is enabled in the settings, which it should be by default?

In case it is disabled, the watch will ask for your passcode, if you want to use the watch.

The green light is the sensor, trying to find out, if your watch is still on your wrist and if a heart rate can be measured.

Apologize for the late reply. Tried reply over two after first reading your response, but I kept being told, “Your response can’t be sent right now. Try again later.” Then I forgot that I hadn’t responded.

Anyway, thanks. Yes, wrist detection was enabled. Vague recollection suggests the flashing green light was occurring while the watch was off my watch after I had awakened it from a charge.

I chalk the issues I wrote about down to being a new owner. Have not had any problems since I posted my plea.

Apologies to you also, LD150. As I explained to Ingo2711, I tried responding several times over a couple days but was but the site wouldn’t let me.

No, I got the green light while I had the watch off my wrist right after awakening it from a charge. I haven’t gotten it since.

No problem, It didn't help when I omitted the word "wearing" from my post, the editor sometimes does that.

When not wearing or on charge, it will do unusual things, so best to minimise the time it is "on its own."
