Remove persistent Apple ID sign-in pop-up

I keep getting a pop up asking me to sign in to an Apple ID associated with an email for a company I haven't worked at in more than 3 years. I don't know how it got associated with this laptop since I bought the laptop after I left the company. That email no longer exists, how do I remove the popup that keeps asking me to log in to that ID?

Sounds confusing...

What are you doing that triggers the pop-up?
