How to confirm erase status for stolen iPhone 15 Pro

My iphone 15 Pro was stolen, and I marked it as Lost and initiated the "Erase" via Find My app. For a few days it was turned off and showed "Erase Pending". When it came back on in Find My app, it shows me the location, and the only options now on the app is "Cancel Erase" and "Remove".

I have read not to remove it, and I don't plan to. My question is, "how do I know if it has been erased?" or "how will I know when it does get erased?"
