iPhone won't stay on during iCloud backup process
I’m trying to backup my iPhone to the cloud. It’s fully charged but won’t stay on for more than a few minutes

Sounds like you have a significant hardware problem. I'm guessing that is why you're attempting to manually back it up.
For future reference, you need to back it up before something goes catastrophically wrong, not after.
Make an appointment at the Genius Bar or take it to your local Apple Store. Keep in mind that it's entirely possible the data on the phone that isn't synced to a cloud service or already backed up will be lost.
