Safari on new iMac freezes when downloading or signing in
My new iMac is unusable. Safari freezes whenever I try to download an App or even sign into websites like Amazon.
I have tried lots of suggestions but nothing has worked.

I understand Safari is freezing / becoming unresponsive. Since your iMac is new, you ought to be asking Apple about it. Use the Official Apple Support link on these pages.
