How to create a new Quick Note from any app on macOS

How to create a new quick note on MacOS from any app and especially Chrome? I know in safari I can select some text and open the context menu to see add to quick note but no such option in present in Chrome (understandably so) but even the global shortcut from mission control (FN+Q) just opens the most recent quick note instead of creating a new one.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 26.1

Without specifically enable Hot Corners

The default location for Quick Notes , mouse over the very bottom right of screen

Have no issue creating a Quick Note from Safari version 26.1 (21622.2.11.11.9) as well as Firefox 146.0 (aarch64)

Tested using various M Class Desktops and Laptops with Tahoe 26.1

Trying to do this from Google Chrome ?

They do not always integrate well into macOS 26

Apple Support article is written to cover the usage of Quick Notes creation from within Safari

How or if they may not may not be able when using a Third Party Browser is anybodies guess

Create a Quick Note on Mac

I do not hate Google Chrome as it does exactly what it was designed to do

Short and unpopular suggestion for some

May consider an alternative https://brave.com which is essentially Google Chrome without the Google baggage
