Poor frame rate in StandBy mode, iOS 26
Is it just me, or is the frame rate of StandBy mode really poor in iOS26? When I'm working, I have my phone (iPhone 16 Pro Max) sitting on a MagSafe charger in landscape orientation. Instead of the lock screen, I get StandBy mode, which - among other options - gives me a nice analogue clock and calendar view.
One of the cool things was how incredibly smooth the second hand was - it swept around the analogue clock in that fluid way that only Apple seems to nail.
But since upgrading to iOS 26 (26.1), the second hand looks much more like watching a 24 fps movie: you can see that it is animated, but it's pretty choppy.
I've been upgraded for a week, so it's not iOS still doing its post-upgrade background optimisations.
