macOS Tahoe Phone app is opening Chrome when I try to make a call
Macos version: 26.1
When opening the phone app on Tahoe, it is properly connected to my iPhone and I can see recent callers.
However when trying to make an audio call, chrome opens up.
Before upgrading to Tahoe, Facetime was set to open Skype for audio calls. Skype is not installed on my system anymore.
Any ideas?

Launch the Phone app. In Phone menu > Settings > General tab, is Start new calls from: set to your phone number or something else (an email account, for example)? If it's set to something else, set it to your phone number.

You need to set it up on your iPhone first.

Did you follow the instructions in the linked articles? Those include making sure both devices are signed into the same Apple Account, and going into the iPhone phone app settings and turning on allow calls on other devices and allowing them on your Mac.
It's set to my Apple ID eMail address and there is no option to set a phone number.
On my iPhone it’s set to cellular and obviously has a number…
