Enforce Display Order for Calendars in iOS and iPadOS

How can I enforce a display order for calendars in iOS and iPadOS native calendar app? There's a suggestion here, and I see 18 people upvoted it. Maybe it worked at one time, but this display order isn't synced across devices for me. Is there any other way to customize the list of calendars?

Curiously, in macOS, I can drag calendars into a custom order. But not on either my iPhone or iPad.

The link that you posted is about doing it on PC/Mac, not on iPhone.

Let me just copy and paste what is said in the link.

"I finally figured it out and I hope that this save you some effort.

1) Simply login to your iCloud account on a computer & go to your calendar.

2) Don't open any settings. Just have your regular calendar list visible.

3) Click & Drag your calendars up & down into the order you want them to appear."

I, too, can read and copy and paste. So let me just add the subject and first line from the linked post:

“Organize Calendar List on iPhone

If you're like me, you've googled "How do I arrange my iCloud calendars on my iPhone?"

They’re outlining the steps to take on a desktop device because their claim is that it will sync with the phone. Updating the display order on the phone is their ultimate goal, just like mine.
