Wiping iPhone without passcode or recovery mode

I have an iPhone 14 pro that needs to go back to Verizon as part of a trade-in deal. I transferred everything I need to my spiffy new iPhone, so that's all good. I went reset my old iphone, and messed up. Now it's locked. I want to make sure all my data is off of it, but because I thought it would wipe it if I just put the wrong passcode in frequently enough, it says iPhone Unavailable. I don't want to recover anything on it, just make sure it's completely wiped. How do I do that? Or have I done that by letting it completely lock?

Normally if it says unavailable there is a reset iphone button bottom of screen which will wipe it.

Or if you have a computer use recovery mode.

But as it is, your data is inaccessible to anyone. Depends on what Verizon require.
