Cannot Sign Into Apple Music on my iPhone with either an old Apple ID or a new primary email now associated with the ID

I had to change the primary email for the Apple ID account that I use for purchases and subscriptions. I can now sign into my Apple ID account with the new email and all subscriptions are there. HOWEVER .. I cannot sign into Apple Music, specifically on my iPhone, with neither the old Apple ID (It says that account is locked and when I try to unlock it it says the account is invalid) nor with the new primary email. I can, for example, sign into Apple Music via my macMini desktop machine. I do not know why I am having this problem on my iPhone. It is the device I used to change the primary email account and maybe that has an impact on all of this? Any thoughts? I am thinking of going into the Genius Bar and/or doing a factory reset on the iPhone.
