Mini calendar missing when editing events in Calendar

Mini Calendar not popping up when editing and event

For some reason, I no longer get what I'd call a mini-calendar when I'm editing an event.

In the past, if I double clicked an event and then clicked on the start date, a mini month calendar would pop up and I could pick a new date.

Now, this mini calendar no longer pops up. If I want to change the date, I can only enter a new month, day or year. This is a lot less convenient.

Did Apple remove this feature? Does anyone else still get this mini calendar when editing?
