Apple TV app not connecting via Sky Q box
apple tv not connecting via sky Q box (uk) since 12/12/25. Have refreshed the app on the sky box and reset the box. Other apps on the sky box are working fine. Is there a known issue?

Same thing here in Italy with Italian Sky Q box. Since yesterday my father-in-law cannot open Apple TV app via Sky Q. The only way to have it works was to use Amazon Fire stick instead
If anyone from Apple app dept is watching this tread, please act to solve it
I checked the Sky UK forum and hundreds of users got same problem: somebody solved it by resetting the Sky Q box (but some other tried the same and still having same issue : "There is no internet connection" when you try to open AppleTV app)
these are user helping other users with tech questions, so apple presense is just to moderate

I’m new to the Forum having tried Sky who don’t seem to really care I thought I would try the Apple forum as you would like to think they might be monitoring the forum and might even care.
I have the same can’t connect message and have wasted hours rebooting routers, turning boxes on and off and any other combination you care to think of. Nothing makes any difference! Every other app works and I can access Apple TV via my smart tv and even the Sky Q mini boxes. What the heck?
Do Sky and Apple not care about their customers?
Exactly the same here. Done a forced software update, app refresh and still the same problem. Was looking forward to watching F1 The Movie. Sky Mini box is all okay by the way but don’t want to watch it on a small screen.
We are in the same situation, was watching a programme then when it finished we weren’t able to do anything else or re enter into the app on SkyQ. Have reset but still can’t get in.
if you believe they do not then you can use their feedback channels to let them know how you feel
