Word 2016 reactivation on MacBookAir fails due to old email on license agreement.
I purchased a new MacBookAir and attempted to use my Microsoft Word for Mac version 16.16.27 Office 2016 for Mac which I purchased in 2017 (and used on my old MacBookPro without problems until the software was transferred to my new MacBookAir computer) with an email that is now defunct since I moved 3 years ago.
I attempted to reactivate my license but it wants to send confirmation to the email that no longer exists. I called Microsoft and was referred to online help. I reviewed that but nothing addressed how to proceed with a new email when I no longer have access to my old email or landline. I would like to just get new Microsoft Word with Outlook, my current email, and get back to work writing. I registered with Microsoft online with my new email.
I contacted my Apple Store, where I purchased my computer and I have Apple Care, to have them help me. They were concerned that even by purchasing new Microsoft Word 365 for Mac program may not be able to be installed due to a license registered in my name to a different email. Can anyone help? Thanks.
