Left AirPod earbud has static after troubleshooting

i started having static in left earbud only. iPhone 15 has latest software version (I believe) 26.2. Went thru suggested steps of unpairing/ doing factory reset/ reconnecting - multiple times. Used different sources for audio. At one point the left earbud was working correctly - no static / but no sound from right

This was all during 1 day.

Earbuds now back to original problem - right earbud working fine - static in left earbud.

Tired of the unpairing/factory reset/reconnecting- What should I do now ?

Replace left earbud, replace case - buy entire new set?
