AppleCare One for MacBook Air with another Apple ID

I just pickup AppleCareOne for a device and still can add two more. I just purchased a new MacBook Air that I am letting my daughter use. She set it up using her Apple ID. If I'm added to it as a second user with admin access with my AppleID will that then be a device under my AppleID. Basically it's my device but my daughter is using it and I want to get covered under my AppleCare One plan

Can I add my family’s devices to my AppleCare One plan?

AppleCare One plans can cover devices that are on the same Apple Account as the subscriber.

So no, not if your daughter has her own account. It may work if you do the initial setting up so your account is entered as the owner, and you then add an account for her to sign in with her own Apple Account. My understanding is the first one to set it up becomes the "owner". Give her administrator status too if you wish.
