App Store payment pending for cancelled subscription – App Store blocked

Hello,

I’m seeking advice regarding an App Store billing issue.

I upgraded to a subscription (SuperGrok) via the Apple App Store on 11 November 2025.

The payment did not go through successfully, and I cancelled the subscription immediately / within one day.

However, the charge is still marked as “Payment Pending”, and my App Store access is restricted until the balance is cleared.

At the moment, I’m facing financial difficulty and am unable to pay the pending amount immediately.

I understand Apple’s policy, but I would like to ask the community:

- Is there any way to temporarily restore App Store access for updates?

- Has anyone experienced a similar situation and found an alternative solution?

- Is waiting until I’m able to clear the payment the only option?

Any guidance or shared experience would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Not that I know of. If you owe Apple money for something they will insist that you pay before they will let you do more with the App Store.

I have never seen anybody post about a different solution.

Probably.
