Center Stage on iMac and iPad how to turn it off!

I'm on an iMac 2017 running Ventura 13.7.8 and when I use Zoom, which is new to me, I can't find any place to turn off Center Stage. Apple said they thought it was not on this age computer....they thought....Found a place to turn off a focus feature. It seems on my iPad it has to be turned off at the onset of each meeting. Is all this correct? Very frustrating.
