MBPro 2020 Intel battery no longer charging over 80%

My MBPro 2020 Intel battery just started a couple of weeks ago not charging over 78-80%. The battery settings show it is Normal. I have the toggle set for "Manage battery longevity" which reduces the maximum allowed charging to increase battery life.

But I did not get any message saying that was now in effect.

Is this expected behavior?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 15.7

Sounds like Battery Health Management.. normal.

What happens if you click open the Battery icon on the menubar....?

is there an option in the drop down to Charge to Full Now

The rule of thumb—if you are near the mains leave it plugged in, if you need the portability then run on the battery only—this is how you help optimize your battery charging and extend the working life of your battery by reducing the cycle count.
