When I sent a pic or receive a pic in text, the messages are not saved to photos within the texts. I’ve tried every possible work around people mentioned in here and it corrects it, but it doesn’t fix it for future pics. How do I fix it so it’s a permanent fix?

I believe the underlined section should say: “the pics within the texts are not saved to my Photos.”
Assuming that’s what you mean, that is correct. An overt action is required to save them.
From the iPhone User Guide:
They are. If you go into your messages and click on someone you’ve texted, then click on their name at the top.. you’ll see info, backgrounds, photos, links, etc…. If you click on photos you should see the pics they were sent and devices on the text string.

That is true for iMessages. I don’t believe it’s true for SMS text messages.
