I am so angry with the time I am losing trying to work with Tahoe 26.1
I can't even read my contacts in the new "look" you've given it. The Blue with white text is hard on the eyes.
I have lost so much time trying to figure out how to change it back to the old template.
Everytime you update it costs us all time. How can I get rid of the blue background?

The background does take on the color of the contact picture (in a very Apple-ish way, there's an algorithm that tries to use the background color of the picture and doesn't always work). So applying a solid color 'picture' as the contact pic may help. Granted, it's laborious for more than a few contacts (but may be an opportunity to learn the Shortcuts app). For example:
