Unable to move family music profile to individual account

Why cant I access my Apple Music account that was on family sharing, now that I have an individual plan? I spoke to a supervisor, and she told me I either have to go back on the family plan or manually add the music back...I had 10 years worth of music. Several playlists had 500+ songs. Apple has these great technologies, but it's impossible to link my accounts?

Your Apple Music account is your Apple Account they aren't separate, so there is nothing to link. If you left Family sharing and had no Apple Music subscription of your own before leaving Family Sharing, then the Music library gets wiped clean, since Apple does not store or save it anywhere without an active subscription.

Family Sharing works across different Apple Accounts for each user.

If you were for some reason sharing an Apple Account and change to a different Apple Account of your own and the old account is still part of Family sharing, then the library would have remained with the old account and has no attachment to your new account whatsoever.

In either case, you will need to recreate the Music library manually.

To keep the music you need to subscribe to your own Apple Music subscription plan before leaving Family sharing so the library can be retained.

I know that reading fine print is no fun, but to outline what was mentioned in Phil0124's reply:

In the legal documents: Legal - Apple Media Services - Apple section H you will find, "When your Paid Subscription to any Service or Content ends, you will lose access to any functionality or Content of that Service that requires a Paid Subscription." So if you left the sharing group before you started your individual subscription, anything to do with your participation as part of the family was immediately and irrevocably deleted during that short interval.

Context would've been more helpful. I had my apple ID under my family account > Left family > created "new" account with Apple music using apple ID email > logged into new Apple music and saw all of my previous playlists on both phone and MacBook app, but no streamed music, only purchased ones. So the playlists names populated, but not the streamed music> searched my old profile in apple music and the music is still there > contacted apple and posted here, and got the response that theres nothing i can do > got re-added to family and my full library is still available > called Apple again and they said that theres nothing I can do, and theres no way to merge my accounts.

I transferred my playlist data to spotify in the event that i want to "start over", but will be disappointed as i have 10+ years of historical data on the family account. Spotify also doesn't have the full Apple library.

So you signed out of the new account and back into the old one again? Not clear as to how you searched your old profile.

If you sign out of one Apple account on a device you are given the option of erasing the data on the device or keeping it. If you keep it, then there will be some merging of data from the old account into the new one. I don't use Apple Music, nor do I have more than one account, so I don't know additional details. I am guessing this may be how your old playlists were retained on the devices, but since you were disconnected from the subscription then they were erased at Apple's end and there is no way to reconnect them.

Apple has no formal account merging process. There are things you can do to effect some transfer yourself, as I am guessing you may have partly achieved if you see old playlists.
