Photo issues within texts and camera roll

I have an Apple 16e iOS 26.1. I’m having a frustrating issue with photos. Photos that are sent within a text thread, do not show up in the photo tab within that text thread. If that makes sense. Also, saved photos will be saved back to a random date months ago, not to the most current photo within my camera roll. Anyone have this problem?
