I recently updated my iOS version to 26 on my iPhone 13 Pro Max and now when I get notifications my lock screen doesn’t go off after. It just stays on forever and I don’t have always on display or anything.

You could try fix it by restarting, then toggling Attention Aware Features or Raise to Wake off and back on. Some also had luck turning notifications previews to “When Unlocked” or disabling Live Activities temporarily. It’s annoying but definitely software related, not your phone hardware acting up.
