iPhone 14 Pro Max – Very Low Volume During ChatGPT Conversations

I’m experiencing a persistent low-volume issue on an iPhone 14 Pro Max, specifically during ChatGPT voice conversations.

After reinstalling the ChatGPT app, the volume is very loud during the initial voice selection/setup. However, once I proceed into an actual conversation, the speaker volume becomes extremely low, almost inaudible, even though the system volume is set to maximum.

This issue only occurs in ChatGPT’s conversation mode. Other apps and system sounds work normally at full volume. Reinstalling the app does not resolve the problem.

It appears that iOS switches from media playback (used during voice preview) to a communication or call-style audio mode during conversations, which results in significantly reduced speaker volume.

Please advise if there is a fix or a setting adjustment for this behavior.

Thank you.

I did, a few days ago. The answers came from their AI, stating that no documentation could assist. Therefore, I decided to try the Apple community. My wife's older iPhone works just fine; in fact, the voice comes so loud that I can hear it in the other room. So, I thought that applies to a specific model, iPhone 14 ProMax. There is a discussion about people experiencing low volume on that model, but that was in 2022, before OpenAI
