Notifications staying on read messages

I have an iPhone 14 Pro. Updated to iOS 26.2. Since before the 26.2 update, notifications in the Notification Centre do not clear out when I click on one of them. They all just stay there regardless of how I click on the app in question. It isn’t just one app, it’s all apps that I have notifications turned on for. Googling the issue has not helped so I’m wondering if others have encountered this issue and if you’ve been able to find a fix. Forced restart did not work. Nothing in my setting has changed with notifications either.
