Issue with double personal contacts and messaging send and receive.

I am dealing with issues on my iPhone 16 as well as my MacBook. At the top of the contacts app appears my contact. It’s a highlighted light blue circle with my initials. If I scroll down through contacts, another contact of myself appears this one with my initials being highlighted with a green circle. In that contact consists all of my email addresses home address work address, etc. From what I have read, 2 personal Contacts should not be listed. Also in the messages app in send and receive next to it says two addresses with a right arrow if I click on that arrow it says you can receive iMessage to and reply from. Underneath is my phone number in my iCloud account.. then underneath that it says start new conversation conversations from and it shows my phone number and iCloud account again. I’m not sure why it is formatted this way and I am wondering if this is the reason why I am having issues with the phone in the Mac. Any information will help thanks.

Indeed. Sounds like your actual/desired contact card (with all your information) isn't marked as your card right now. In your Contacts list, press and hold the contact and tap 'Make This My Card'. If there's information on the original card that isn't recorded on the newly marked one, you can manually move the info over and delete the old contact, or merge them (Merge contacts on iPhone - Apple Support).

Nah, that's normal. The first section lets you receive and reply to messages from people who send messages to a certain address (phone or email, in this case); the second lets you choose what address you use when sending other people new messages (your phone number, in this case).
