Modal Overlay for listings in Apple TV app (on Apple TV) becomes stuck after device sleeping and cannot be exited via normal methods

I'm currently experiencing an issue in the Apple TV app (on Apple TV A2737 device with tvOS 26.2 23K54) where the modal overlay for a listing within the app cannot be exited after leaving the app and returning to it after some time. The Apple TV app essentially becomes "stuck", and the only way to exit the modal overlay is by restarting the device in settings. I definitely know this happens when the Apple TV has gone to sleep (inactive for timeout period), I'm not sure if it is dependent on that happening or not.

I've yet to narrow down a reliable/fullproof reproduction step list, but the general idea is:

1. Open Apple TV app on your Apple TV
2. Confirm that you are on the home page (this may occur at other pages, I just am always on the home page)
3. Select a shown listing (tv show, movie, etc.) that opens in another app on the device (Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max, etc.)
4. Watch some of the movie
5. Allow device to go to sleep without returning to the Apple TV app
6. Wake the device up
7. Go back to the Apple TV app
8. Try to exit the modal overlay that should still be shown
9. Confirm that the modal overlay cannot be exited

Is this a known issue affecting others? I was unable to find another question similar to this.
