Port popping when there is a charger plugged in

Hey, I got a iPhone Xr about a month ago, and I love it! For some reason though, whenever I have anything that plugs into my lightning jack, even if I only just rest my finger on the charger, the port will pop. I don’t think it is my charger because I have tried multiple. I think it is something in my charging port, but I’m not sure. Any advice?

I think they mean that there is an audible popping sound.

Hello and thanks for posting.

I would do what MrBill3 said to do.

I would definitely schedule an appointment with your local Genius Bar or Apple Authorized Repair Centre. Popping from the charging port can indicate some sort of hardware defect, that can result in damage of the device, cable, etc and even possible injury. (Basically popping from anything that has to do with electricity is bad.)

Best of luck,
