Scam? App Store warning

Received a warning that my iPhone 7 is severely damaged by 6 viruses. How do I know if this is a scam or not? It asked me to tap the removal virus button to install secnet VPN from the App Store. Then I am to open the application to activate the latest update and remove any older infected versions.

These are always scams. The only time a message warning of malware on an iOS device might be real is if you've just manually uploaded a file, and then it'll only reference the file in question.
