Moving a Photo within a My Album on Photos on iMac

I have created an Album in My Albums. I have put 100 photos in it. When i try to move one photo within the album it moves other photos at the same time. It's as if it doesn't like where I organized them in my Album. How can I stop this so it only lets me move one photo and keep it where i moved it?

Which version of Photos do you have installed?

In Photo 4.0 on Mojave I noticed, that I occasionally cannot drag photos around in an album freely. When that happens, I restart photos. Usually I can rearrange the photos after restarting Photos.

But check first, if a fixed sort option is set for the album. Ctrl-click the album in the sidebar and click "Sort". All three "Keep sorted by" options should be disabled. If one option is checked, try to drag any photo around a bit. This should disable the automatic sorting.
