Does backup of iPhone on iCloud second time takes double the space utilised on iCloud

No. Subsequent backups are incremental so you are not doubling the size of the backup.


The very first backup will be the largest and the following backups will actually be much smaller unless you take an enormous amount of photos that are to be backed up or create a huge file is some type with a great deal of data that goes into the backup.
