What USB-C adapter are you referring to?

The iPad comes with the cable, the USB-C Power Adapter, ie the charging block you plug into the wall.

Are you saying you did not get that?

There's nothing else in the box besides those 2 things.

iPad Pro 11 or 12.9 comes with a USB C cable and a charging brick. The adapter they are referring to is the charging brick, which is stated in the Apple.com Tech page for what is included in the box. If your computer doesn't offer a USB C port, you can buy a USB C to standard USB cable from Apple (it's a Belkin product) or go out to Amazon to find one.
