imovie issues
only pics are showing and when i put add a video to my imovie, it just shows up as a picture

Try opening iMovie while holding down the Option and Command keys and selecting to delete preferences in the box that appears. iMovie will open in a new library. Reopen your old library to get back to your projects. Now see if your videos display as videos.
The recommended way to import videos into iMovie is to first import them into the Photos app and then access them from
the Photos item in an iMovie project sidebar. Following that procedure your videos should import as videos and not stills. Alternatively, you could use the Image Capture app on your Mac to import the videos to your desktop, and from
there drag them into iMovie.
