I want more security for my Laptop that's why i need to install a security software. Someone told me that Norton Antivirus is not compatible with Mac OS and it can be slow system performance also prevent from Mac OS update.
I want to install and Setup Norton security in my Laptop but i am not fully sure my way is good or not?
You don't need this sort of security software: the Mac already has sufficient quietly built into the System. And most particularly you don't want Norton: it's got a bad reputation for causing problems on a Mac.
The only software we would recommend is Malwarebytes, written by someone who is a senior poster here: this won't cause problems but will identify and can remove malware (which is usually the sort of thing you've been tricked into installing yourself).

Surprised you have given a 'Solved' to David when you have been quite rightly informed by Roger that security software like Norton is unnecessary on a Mac. The Mac has it's own built in security, and having third party apps can interfere with the Macs
functionality, quite often they remove much needed system files that can render your Mac useless. As Roger has stated Malwarebytes will keep your Mac clear of adware/ malware, there is a free version which can manually run.
I would definitely think twice about installing Norton, it is not at all necessary and may indeed make it less secure and
compromise the your Mac.

Who is David and where is the Solved?
The last time I installed anything by Norton on my Mac, it took me the better part of a day to get the computer running again and completely remove the Norton software. It was hours of restart the computer, get rid of one thing only to have the computer crash, repeat.
You do not need any of that stuff. Read Effective defenses against malware and other threats.
Norton is one of the worst things you can do to a Mac short of immersing it in water.
