If I use a lightning to usb-c adapter, can I use a usb-c hub on iPad Pro 10.5?

I use a small USB hub with my older 12.9 inch iPad. However, you need a hub that can be plugged in and powered from its own power source/power supply.

The hub WILL draw too much power from the iPad alone.
