Apple Watch 4 crown & battery issues

I’ve had Apple Watch 4 for 4 months and use it the same way - time, calendar, daily workout, occasional phone/email/text. Haven’t had any issues, worked great, charged very quickly. Yesterday took it for a 20-min swim for the first time and suddenly the crown was unresponsive and the Watch took all night to charge 100%. Within a few minutes the battery completely died. I followed advice to hard reset, rinse the Watch with water while turning dial and pushing crown, using lint free towel to dry. Now the crown responds to pushing and heart rate but not when turning the crown to scroll. The battery recharged faster but after wearing for 1 hour it depleted from 70% to 33%. Can you help me out?

You have a Series 4 which must sytill be within Apple’s 12 month warranty, and you have done the recommended user level things. The partially unresponsive Digital Crown is likely to be a hardware problem so your next step is Contact Support and arrange service
