iPhone X - Incorrect wifi password

I have had trouble connecting my phone to wifi. My MacBook and Apple TV along with my family's android devices connect just fine.

I have tried:

-resetting my network setting

-soft reset iPhone

-forget and rejoin network

-manually join the network

-downloading ReiBoot upon researching the issue - except I am not paying $$$ to fix an issue that shouldn't be an issue

I have tried pretty much everything short of factory resetting my phone which I am hesitant to do.

If anyone has found a solution that I haven't listed above, let me know!!

Apple, please fix the issue promptly.

Hi Darby1993,

Thanks for the post. I understand you're seeing an incorrect password error when you try joining a Wi-Fi network.

To narrow things down, try connecting to a different Wi-Fi network; are you able to, or does the same issue occur?

You might also double-check to make sure you've completed all of the steps in this resource; it sounds like restarting your router may be a great idea if you haven't tried that already: If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t connect to a Wi-Fi network

"Restart

Try restarting your iOS device, router, and cable or DSL modem. To restart your router or modem, unplug it, then plug it back in.

After you restart each device, see if you fixed the issue."

Depending on the results of testing another network and restarting the router, this may help you further:

"Get more help

  • If you're connected to a Wi-Fi network but you can’t get online, try to use your Wi-Fi network on other devices. If you can’t get online using your other devices, there might be a service outage. Call your cable company or internet provider for help.
  • Try connecting to a Wi-Fi network in a different location. If your device can connect, you need to get help with your Wi-Fi network. If your device can’t connect to any Wi-Fi networks, contact Apple.
  • Update your Wi-Fi router with the latest firmware and make sure that the router supports your Apple product. For more information, contact the router's manufacturer."

I hope this is useful in getting your iPhone to connect! Kind regards.
