TO: Field Missing From People Tab in Photos

I'm trying to manage shared photo albums, but the TO: field is missing from the people tab. Please help! Thanks.

Are you the owner of the shared albums? Only the originator of the album can make any changes and will have the To filed there.

If you are the owner try the following as needed:

1 - launch Photos with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import a few photos and test to see if the To field is available for shared albums or not. This will tell us if the problem is limited to your current library or is more widespread. If the test library is working correctly open your current library with the Option+Command keys held down to repair the library.

NOTE: if you have the iCloud Photos Library enabled this will trigger another complete upload to iCloud. So you may want to avoid the repair option till the last.

2 - log into another user account and repeat the test in #1 above. This will tell us if the problem is limited to your user account or is system wide.

3 - lastly boot into Safe Mode and test your library from there. This will tell us if there's any 3rd party software that might be interfering with Photos.

NOTE: Safe Mode boot can take up to 10 minutes as it's doing some system cache cleaning, volume verifying and directory repairing.
